So yea. Listening to Frank Sinatra and friends playlist right now. Usually that means I'm in a kickback, chill mode thinkin' alot.

*sigh*
Want to know what I'm thinkin' 'bout? K, think I saw some of you nudge in response....

"Reggie's such a sweet guy."
"This is the nicest guy you'll ever have a chance to meet."
"Nice guys finish last."

Can you guess what topic I'm 'bout to venture into?

One part Dad's training on the conduct of a gentleman + a childhood w/ disney = Reggie
I guess I'm a genuinely nice guy. Everybody's been telling me that since the beginning of time. To be honest w/ you though, I'm getting tired of bein' the "nice guy".
The "nice guy" that places you as top priority on his list. The "nice guy" willing to listen an' offer advice everytime you call him up. The "nice guy" who changes his schedule around to take care of you while you're sick because no one else will. The "nice guy" who's taking care of you after a long night of drinking. The "nice guy" that'll loan you money w/o a second thought. The "nice guy" that takes the entire workload on himself so you don't have to.
Always courteous, always accommodating. The "nice guy" that takes in a great deal of S*IT from other people. the "nice guy" that's constantly bein exploited an' taken advantage of. The "nice guy" that, for the most part of his life, has never received respect.

RESPECT

I never really noticed 'til this semester how important that word is to me. Been reflecting w/ Frank for the past few hrs. 'bout the past few days an' the rest of my life. For the most part of my life I have never received respect.
In elementary school: no. because I was the nerdy kid that actually wanted to learn.
In middle school: no. quiet, loners don't get respect.
High school? I worked the pizza cart for half of lunch, was heavily involved w/ the arts, an' for the most part: lost in my own world. So, no.
How 'bout thru acting? A good 10 yrs. of my life devoted to that art. Doesn't mean jack s*it to the people that run auditions. An' most people brush it off w/ a "that's coo" because they don't really know anything 'bout it. Not much respect there.
Singing? 7 some-odd years working on that. Calling me a future member of a "boy band" does not give me respect.
As far as performances go: laughing an' pointing an' throwin crap at me while I'm performing is not showin' me respect either.

How 'bout college? You'd think that bein' a mature adult attending college that you'd receive respect right? Not really. I've been part of a RESPECTABLE fraternity for the past 2 years an' have received nothing but crap from many people.
Why?
If you're goin' to have a grudge against myself or my brhos at least have the common decency to hold your comments to yourself or for a private setting. Look around at where you are before you start anything. Your immature antics affect more than yourself you realize that right? And if you still insist on talking, tell it to our faces.
Some say that it's just words.

Words huh?
Is that how much devotion, time, and love you put into your organization?
Your "words" cause disrespect to our fraternity. A fraternity where every single one of us is willing to do anything. We wear our letters w/ pride because we know that they stand for something. That there's an actual purpose to our fraternity. We will not just kickback an' have you disregard all our achievements and all of our hard work. The constant public disrespect is something we're all fed up with. Is it really that hard to hold your toungue? What the hell do you think you are accomplishing? You'd think that if you're old enough to drink, you'd be old enough to think.

The "nice guy". Am I goin' to stop bein' one? No. Why should I add one more jackass, dips*it to our world's population?
